Priest Rape 17 girl, Philippine

Philippines – A 17-year-old girl from Agusan del Norte filed on Wednesday three cases—acts of lasciviousness, child abuse, and rape, against a Catholic priest in Tubay town with the provincial court.

Leah (not her real name) accused Tubay parish priest Fr. Raul Cabonce of sexually assaulting and raping her several times while she was working under his care.

“I hope he will be imprisoned for his whole life,” she told the Philippine Daily Inquirer in an interview.

Leah’s ordeal began on June 2010 when she got a message from the priest to see him at the convent.

Cabonce, she said, offered to pay for her tuition as a fourth year high school student if she worked at the convent.

Leah, who was 9th in a brood of 12, readily accepted the offer.

“My parents were too poor,” she said. “I wanted to be a doctor.”

On Sept. 16, 2010, the priest made advances to her while she was cooking. Cabonce suddenly put his hand on her breast. Shocked, Leah said she backed away from Cabonce, who made light of his actions, even teasing her for being “too serious.”

A few months later, Leah’s situation at the convent worsened. One evening, Leah said she was summoned by Cabonce to his room. “There were guns in his bedroom. I saw three, two long firearms and one short,” she recalled.

The priest asked for a massage, she said. A few minutes later, the priest started groping her. When she protested and tried to leave, Cabonce forced her to bed and molested her despite her protestations.

Leah said the abuse was repeated several times the next month. She tried to avoid Cabonce while at the convent.

“He would pretend to be holy and say Mass, but he was only wearing a mask. He is not a true servant of God. He only became a priest to gain money,” she said.

According to her affidavit, the priest forced her twice to give him oral sex. Cabonce, she said, was so violent that he made her gums bleed.

Leah recounted that every time she was in the bedroom, the priest made it a point to show her his firearms.

‘I will kill your family’

Once, he threatened her not to speak about the abuse. “He said, don’t tell this to anyone or I’ll kill your family,” she said. Cabonce also threatened her once with a knife.

Leah said she endured the sexual assaults because she wanted to finish her studies.

Last March, when the academic year ended, she finally left the convent and reported the abuse to her mother.

The militant women’s group Gabriela has put Leah under its care while she underwent medical and psychological exams in Manila.

Gabriela said there may be more victims like Leah, whose trust and poverty are being exploited.

Medico-legal findings from the Philippine General Hospital and from a team of health experts in Mindanao showed there was a possibility of sexual abuse.

Three psychological reports also revealed that the victim was harboring suicidal thoughts and was suffering from post-traumatic disorder.

In June this year, Leah tried to kill herself by slashing her wrists.

Anticipating that the priest had left the parish, Leah urged the Catholic hierarchy to investigate her case. “I hope that they are not hiding him,” she said.

Cabonce is under the jurisdiction Butuan Bishop Juan de Dios Pueblos.

Lana Libanan, Gabriela secretary-general, urged the Catholic Church to surrender Cabonce to authorities.

[RAPE] Commando polytechnic student raped 13 year old

A 24-year-old polytechnic student was sentenced to jail for 13 years by Singapore’s High Court on Friday after he was found guilty of raping a 13-year-old.
Wang Jianbin had raped the teenager in her room while her brother was in the living room with his piano teacher.
The former commando pleaded guilty to rape. One charge each of criminal intimidation and sexual assault were taken into consideration as well.
High Court judge Chan Seng Onn also ordered Wang to be given 15 strokes of the cane.
Wang had asked through his lawyer for more strokes of the cane so that he could have a shorter jail sentence to be with his mother and 10-year-old sister, but the judge did not say if the request affected his sentence, according to The Straits Times.
The punishment was heavier than expected as the prosecution had asked the court to give him at least 10 years’ jail and six strokes of the cane.
Wang came here from China with his family in 1997 and became a Singaporean in 2005.
Through a ‘making friends’ column in a teen magazine, Wang got to know the secondary school girl involved in October 2009.
Even though she told him she had a boyfriend and was not interested, the then 23-year-old still harassed her through instant messaging, text messages and phone calls.
Wang kept plying her with sexual questions, such as the colour of her underwear and whether she had a boyfriend she had sex with.
Uneasy, the girl told him that she was in a sexual relationship with her boyfriend and was not interested in meeting him when he pressed to meet with her.
On 2 Dec, with a 17-year-old male friend visiting her in her home, the girl received messages from Wang asking for her address as he wanted to visit her.
But she turned him down, and even gave the phone to her friend and asked him to pose as her father to give a warning to Wang not to harass her, the newspaper reported.
Unfazed, Wang said that he already knew where she lived. He threatened to “find trouble” and bring his gang to “mess up” her home and reveal to her parents that she had sex with her boyfriend.
The friend then called another boy, aged 18, to join them at her home for backup.
When Wang arrived, the girl had already instructed the two boys to hide in her mother’s room and to call for help if she could not deal with Wang.
The girl thought that Wang would not do anything to her with her brother and his piano teacher in the flat, and followed his instructions to bring him to her room.
After closing the door, Wang started violating the girl.
Thinking to help the girl, the 18-year-old friend barged into the room with a martial arts spear belonging to the girl’s brother.
But it was a futile attempt as he was chased out after a struggle.
While her two friends ran for help, Wang raped her. When the boys returned with civil defence officers, followed by the police, Wang was still around and was arrested.
The punishment for rape is up to 20 years’ jail and caning or a fine.

[OMG] Her Nipple found on FOOT not Tits !

A 22-year-old woman has made medical history after being discovered with a third nipple on her foot, startling researchers who believe it is the first of its kind.
If present, extra nipples tend to be found above the waist.

Between one to five per cent of the human population are believed to suffer from the condition, which is clinically referred to as supernumerary breast tissue.

Medical staff believe the 4cm nipple’s appearance so far down the body, in this case, is a total one off.
The researchers found a well-formed nipple surrounded by areola and hair and further microscopic examination of the dermis showed hair follicles, ecrine glands and sebaceous glands.
The woman said that it had been there since birth and that it caused her no pain.
There are a few known famous people with third nipples.

British Lily Allen revealed on television that she has a small third nipple on her left breast.
Actor Mark Wahlberg has a miniature third nipple below his left one. Wahlberg described it as a “prized possession”.

[OMG] Japanese Rapist Murderer

CHIBA – Charged with raping and killing Briton Lindsay Ann Hawker in 2007 and on the run for more than 2-1/2 years, public and media attention focused on commentary from defendant Tatsuya Ichihashi at the first hearing of his lay-judge trial.

Shortly before 1:20 p.m. Monday, Ichihashi entered the courtroom and made a surprise move. He prostrated himself in the direction of Hawker’s parents, who were seated behind prosecutors. Urged by an officer accompanying him, the 32-year-old defendant stood up and bowed twice before sitting down.

On the first day of the trial at the Chiba District Court, Ichihashi denied he intended to kill the 22-year-old English teacher.

However, he apologized, saying: “I scared her and caused her death. I’m deeply sorry about that.”

“It’s my duty to explain to the court what happened on the day of the incident,” he added.

In their opening statement, prosecutors claimed that Ichihashi saw Hawker on a train and ran after her as she cycled home at night on March 20, 2007. He then asked her for a glass of water and convinced Hawker to let him into her home. He obtained her contact information by pleading with her to teach him English.

It was then agreed via an e-mail that Hawker would give him an hourlong lesson for 3,500 yen. On March 25, Ichihashi plotted to entice Hawker to his apartment after an English lesson at a coffee shop in front of Gyotoku Station in Ichikawa, Chiba Prefecture. He intended to sexually assault her, the prosecutors said.

According to the prosecutors, Ichihashi told Hawker at the lesson he had forgotten the payment and persuaded her to collect it from his apartment, after which he assaulted and killed Hawker by strangling her for about three minutes.

“[Ichihashi’s] motive to murder Hawker was to prevent the assault from coming to light,” a prosecutor said.

Meanwhile, Ichihashi’s lawyers claimed the two went to his apartment by taxi as Ichihashi did not have money to pay the lesson fees. Ichihashi asked the taxi driver to wait for five to six minutes, but the driver refused to do so.

The lawyers said that after raping Hawker, Ichihashi felt regret. When he began thinking how he could get her home, Hawker screamed and tried to flee. This prompted him to seize her to stop her from screaming, the lawyers said, adding that she then stopped moving.

They also claimed Ichihashi should be only accused of rape and injury resulting in death as he performed artificial respiration on her.

Hawker’s parents William and Julia covered their eyes with handkerchiefs when a photo showing their daughter’s body was displayed on a monitor. Holding photos of the victim, Lindsay’s sisters also shed tears, patting each other on the shoulders and arms.

Reporters from British newspapers and wire agencies such as AP were present in court to cover the trial.

Five more hearings, including a final session on July 12, will be held before a ruling is handed down on July 21.

[SEX HUNGER] Man Divorced Wife, Only 20 Sex in 10 Years

A MAN wants a divorce after claiming that his 37-year-old wife is sexually frigid and that they had sex less than 20 times in 10 years of marriage, reported China Press.
The man, who declined to be named, said they had sex for the first time two years after their marriage.

“She always finds an excuse to reject me. I did consider her feelings in the beginning.

“But now, I need sex so I am having an affair,” he said, adding that the couple had been sleeping in separate rooms for the last three years.

He promised to take care of her and their three children aged between 21 months and seven years after the divorce.

However, the wife, who held a press conference at Federal Territory Gerakan in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday, claimed the man wanted a divorce in order to marry his Chinese national girlfriend, whom he met online two years ago.

The woman, who is a sales coordinator, said she found out about her husband’s affair after giving birth to her youngest son.

“He was having an affair with a local woman then. But I chose to forgive him after he terminated the relationship with the woman,” she said, adding that he then had an affair with the Chinese national.

She said she was willing to divorce him on condition that he continued to pay the children’s education fees and living expenses as well as the house and car loans.

SBS [MOLESTED] Pictures on Foreigner Caught

 By Kua Chee Siong
IT WAS her day off and she was on her way to meet a friend.
She had boarded an SBS Transit service number 65 bus around 7 pm yesterday.

As the lower deck of the double-decker bus was packed, she headed to the upper deck and sat down beside a man who looked to her like a foreign worker.

The 7-Eleven store assistant usually plays with her mobile phone on bus journeys, but as the phone battery was flat, she decided to “close her eyes”.
She told The New Paper: “A short while later, I felt a hand on my left thigh. I opened my eyes and saw the man looking shocked.”

It struck her right away that he looked guilty. “He had one kind of a face,” she said.
The 28-year-old woman then went right down to the bus driver.

“I told him I had been molested and asked him for his handphone so that I could call the police and my friend.”
She called the police first to tell them what had happened. Then, she called her friend.

Acting on the woman’s complaint, the bus driver immediately stopped the bus at the next bus stop, just in front of Hoa Nam Building on Jalan Besar.
He said: “The woman came down and told me she was molested. I then stopped the bus and locked the doors.”
But as the bus was crowded, some passengers started to complain, he said.

The woman said that at this point, a man called out and said he needed to get to work. He asked the driver to open the doors for him.

And when the driver did that, some passengers also got off before he could close the door again.
It was then that the woman realised the alleged suspect had taken the opportunity to leave.

She said: “I quickly told the driver to open the door again and I ran after the man, shouting at him.
“I yelled to him, ‘bhaiya (brother in Hindi), come back here’.”

Caused a commotion

Her yelling created a commotion, forcing the man to stop.
Just as the man walked back to where she was, the police also arrived.
When TNP arrived at the scene, we saw the man sitting on kerb, just in front of the bus.He looked like he was in a daze.
A curious crowd of onlookers had gathered around the bus stop.

Police officers took the man to the bus and they headed to the upper deck.
It looked like they were getting him to describe to them what had happened.
About five minutes later they brought him down to the lower deck.

The man was made to sit at the back of the bus while they questioned the bus driver.
After that, they asked the woman to go to upper deck with them this time. She spoke animatedly and seemed to be re-enacting the scene for the police officers.

After she came down, she spoke to another investigating officer for a while before she left with her friend.
The man was later handcuffed and led out of the bus.

Police said they received a call around 7.30pm seeking assistance at a bus stop on Jalan Besar.
A police spokesman said: “A 36-year-old Bangladeshi man was subsequently arrested for outrage of modesty. Police are investigating.”

When contacted later, the woman said: “I felt really angry that the man dared to do this.
“I wanted to whack him, but I’m a woman.” But she doesn’t intend to tell her family members about the incident as she doesn’t want them to be worried.

She said: “I hope he gets punished for this so he can’t do this to another woman.”

Previous bus molest cases
March 7, 2011: A 26-year-old speech therapist spotted and confronted a 21-year-old foreigner who had allegedly molested her on a bus three days ago.

Oct 1, 2009: An 82-year-old man was arrested for molesting three women, including a 58-year-old, on bus service No 21.
Aug 12, 2009: A man in army uniform molested a 28-year-old teacher by doing a “tip-toe” walk with his fingers across her right breast. He got away but she saw him again a month later. The man was arrested after she called her boyfriend and they tailed him to a bus stop on Old Tampines Road.

[Shorter Sleep] may Increase Genetic Risks for Obesity

ScienceDaily (June 17, 2011) — Sleeping less at night may increase the expression of genetic risks for obesity, while getting plenty of sleep may suppress genetic influences on body weight, suggests an abstract being presented in Minneapolis, Minn., at SLEEP 2011, the 25th Anniversary Meeting of the Associated Professional Sleep Societies LLC (APSS).

Results of a study of 1,811 pairs of twins show that the heritability of sleep duration was 32 percent, and shared environmental influences on sleep duration were negligible. Longer sleep duration was associated with decreased body mass index, which is a measure of body fat based on height and weight.
Behavioral genetic modeling found significant interactions between self-reported, habitual sleep duration and both genetic and shared environmental influences on BMI. The heritability of BMI when sleep duration equaled seven hours was more than twice as large as the heritability of BMI when sleep duration equaled nine hours.
“The heritability of body weight decreased as sleep duration increased,” said principal investigator Dr. Nathaniel Watson, associate professor of neurology at the University of Washington and co-director of the UW Medicine Sleep Center. “There appears to be something about short sleep that creates a permissive environment for expression of obesity-related genes.”
The study involved a population-based sample of 1,811 pairs of identical and fraternal twins from the University of Washington Twin Registry. They had a mean age of about 37 years. Height, weight and habitual sleep duration were collected by self-report surveys. Participants were slightly overweight with a mean BMI of 25.4, and they had a mean sleep duration of about seven hours and 11 minutes per night. Data were analyzed using behavioral genetic interaction models.
According to Watson, the study is an important addition to the existing body of research on the relationship between sleep duration and BMI.
“Epidemiological and experimental studies have shown short sleep is associated with obesity,” said Watson. “Our work takes this a step further, showing that short sleep facilitates expression of obesity-related genes.”
The authors concluded that future research aiming to identify specific genotypes for BMI may benefit from considering the moderating role of sleep duration.
In a smaller study of 612 twin pairs published in the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine in 2010, Watson found that short sleep was associated with elevated BMI following careful adjustment for genetics and shared environment. In a study published in JAMA in 2010, the CDC estimated that 68 percent of U.S. adults were overweight or obese in 2007 — 2008
